CHALLENGE PayPal®, a subsidiary of eBay®, is
constantly challenged with showcasing and communicating their
product benefits to tech savvy customers and affiliates, as well as
new and existing employees. All communications need to stress the
characteristics PayPal® is known for – trust, reliability and a
daily willingness to go beyond the promises of their
competitors.
SOLUTION PayPal recognized that
Proforma could help them promote the strengths of the brand through
a variety of print, promotional products and electronic methods. One
solution in particular included the development of a custom box with
a USB Smart Button that links new visitors to eBay-PayPal® for
information about the companies. |

The Human Resources Department took notice
of the success of this program and worked with Proforma to
transition it into the main component of a new-hire package that
contained a variety of information about all of the eBay affiliates
including Skype®, Verisign®, PayPal® and others. The packaged
functioned as a resource for new employees to get acclimated with
the brands.
RESULTS Due to the positive
reaction from the other promotions, Proforma also provides support
items such as the annual company-wide eBay® calendar, the employee
rewards website, the company store, eBay volunteer shirts,
global-building gifts and a Take-Your-Child-To-Work Day custom
backpack filled with crayons, pin wheels, a Frisbee and coloring
books.
